Yet another challenger appeared in the arena, hoping to do well in a survival duel. Same as before, there are 10 random opponents for her to choose from, and they appeared right in front of her:

Yuki entered the arena, analyzing her options. Wanting to start off easy, she choose Gradius as her hand appears in front of her in the process.

"Draw Phase. Draw one card," the AI stated as its next card appeared. "Standby Phase. Main Phase 1. Summon Gradius." The signature card appeared already. "Equip Axe of Despair to Gradius." The axe appeared above Gradius and floated around it. "Battle Phase. Attack face-down monster with Gradius."
The monster destroyed was Mother Grizzly and Yuki summoned another Mother Grizzly
"Main Phase 2. Set one card in back row. End Phase. Turn End."

Another card appeared in front of Yuki as she looked on at the field. Pondering for a moment, she said, "First off, let's tribute that Mother Grizzly for Giga Gagagigo." The machine/reptile hybrid appeared on the field, ready to attack. "Now, my monster will attack yours!" After the attack was launched, it left the AI's field with just 1 f/d. To finish off her turn, she said, "Playing Salvage, getting both my Mother Grizzlys back to my hand, and I will end."

During Yuki's turn, another card appeared in front of her to signify the drawing phase. After setting another m/t, she summoned her Mother Grizzly to the field. "Now, Giga Gagigago will attack your monster!." Jade Knight was destroyed, allowing the AI to add 1 Victory Viper to its hand. "Mother Grizzly attacks directly and I will end."

One look at Maha Vailo and she knows that she is in trouble. Drawing her card, she immediately set 1 monster and changed Mother Grizzly to defense position before ending.

Victory Viper XX03 attack Mother Grizzly." The ship shot the bear and then another Victory Viper appeared. "Third effect of Victory Viper; Special Summon 1 Option Token."
Yuki summoned another Mother Grizzly
"Attack face-down monster with Giga Gigagigo."
Another Mother Grizzly was destroyed and Yuki summoned a Mermaid Knight.
"Attack Mermaid Knight with Maha Vailo. Main Phase 2. End Phase. End Turn."

Taking 1550lp damage, Yuki wonders if she can turn this one around. As her newest card in the hand appears, she knows that while she might not be able to stop the assault completely, she can at least stall it a little. Using Mother Grizzly as a tribute, she summoned Mobius the Frost Monarch. Glacier spikes up as Mobius was summoned, and they destroyed Axe of Despiar and Rare Metalmorph in the process.
Then, the AI destroyed the token to put Axe back to the top of the deck, and continues to give her trouble with this duel. Declaring an attack by Mobius on Maha, she ended her turn, desperately needing to turn this one around.

Losing another chunk of her life points, she knows that this card has to turn things around for her, or else it's all but over. Taking a look at her hand after the draw, she then put her hand on her duel disc and say, "I forfeit, there is nothing in this hand that could help."
